Władysław T. Benda

W. T. Benda is a Polish born artist who moved to the USA at age 26. He studied art in NYC and became an accomplished illustrator and mask maker. Four years before his death in 1948 he published Masks (A Step by Step Guide), full of illustrations, photographs, and anecdotes on the struggles of a mask maker finding appropriate materials. → Read more
